Hiking

The Seward area provides some of the most beautiful outdoor recreation opportunities in the world!  Much of it within minutes of the Resort.  There are trails for all levels and ages.  We've put together this page as a resource for those who want to see Alaska upclose, on foot!

Caines Head State Recreation Area.

Coastal Trail.  Dependent on tide.  See the remains of Ft. McGilvary, an abandoned WWII fort.  For more information, please take a look at the Alaska Department of Natural Resources web site...click here!

Plan ahead! Dress appropriately for the weather conditions! Dispose of trash and food items. Leave no trace!
